Crystal Yan is a product leader focused on creating civic and social impact by designing human-centered products, teams, and organizations.
Currently, she is a product lead at Remitly, a mobile financial services company in Seattle that helps immigrants send money to loved ones across borders. In her role on the New Initiatives team, she leads teams to launch new ventures and financial services products for immigrants and their families. Previously at United States Digital Service at the White House, a startup within the federal government using design and technology to deliver better government services to the public, she was a senior manager leading product and UX teams to design better services for healthcare providers and asylum seekers.
She has worked in the US, India, China, and Cambodia and spoken at technology and design conferences across the US, Canada, Mexico, Chile, China, India, Ireland, Germany, Norway, Portugal, the UK, Serbia, and Croatia.
