Button 2020 FAQ

Welcome to our first-ever Button conference—happening online everywhere! We know you have lots of questions, and we have lots of answers. Let’s get to it.

About your Button registration and ticket(s)

What’s the deadline to register for Button?

We’re accepting registrations until the conference live broadcast ends, at 5:00 p.m. CST on October 23.

How can I pay for Button?

We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. The full conference fee is due at the time of registration. If you choose the “pay by check” option, your check is due within seven days of registration. Include attendee name(s) on the check, and make checks payable to: Brain Traffic, 615 First Avenue NE, Suite 475, Minneapolis, MN 55413.

Can my team register for Button as a group?

Yes. During the registration process, you’ll have the option to add more attendees. If you have a group of three or more, use the code GROUP10 for each person you register to receive a 10% discount.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes. The deadline to transfer your ticket is 5:00 p.m. CST on September 25. Contact us to complete a transfer.

Can more than one person attend Button on the same ticket?

No. Emails and passwords are unique to each registration and can be used by only one attendee.

Can I still cancel my registration?

No, our cancellation deadline has passed. You can still transfer your ticket until 5:00 p.m. CST on September 25. Contact us to complete a transfer.

Are there any discounts available?

Yes! If you qualify for a discount, use the associated code for 10% off your ticket price. Please note discount codes cannot be combined.

  • Groups of three or more: GROUP10
  • Higher ed employees: HIGHERED10
  • Nonprofit employees: NONPROFIT10

Before the conference

Do I need to download anything on my computer or phone before Button?

We recommend downloading Zoom in order to participate in our small-group and social sessions. Go to the Zoom download center.

Do I have enough bandwidth to watch Button?

We recommend having a bandwidth of 20 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speeds. If you can watch YouTube, you can watch Button.

What browser should I use to watch Button?

We recommend using one of the following browsers:

  • Windows 7 or 8 with Internet Explorer 8+, or the latest version of Firefox or Chrome
  • Mac OS 10.7 with the latest version of Safari, Firefox, or Chrome
  • Ubuntu Linux (latest Firefox only)
  • iOS 5.0+ (mobile)
  • Android 4.0.4 (mobile)
Where do I go to watch Button?

Watch your email for details. If you're registered, you'll receive information about where and how to log in.

How do I get in to the Button 2020 Slack workspace?

If you're registered, you'll receive an invitation to the Slack workspace a few weeks before the conference.

How do I log in to watch Button?

By Monday, October 19, you will receive an email from hello@buttonconf.com with a link to log in to our password-protected site.

I haven’t gotten my login yet. What now?

If it’s Tuesday, October 20, or later and you still haven’t received an email with your login instructions:

  • Check your spam filter for the email we sent. (And add “hello@buttonconf.com” to your contacts list!)
  • If you still can’t find it, contact us for assistance.
Can I register after the conference starts?

We’ll accept registrations through the end of the event (5:15 p.m. CST, Friday, October 23).

Can I join the live broadcast late? Can I leave and come back?

Yes, you can tune in to the live broadcast at any time. You won’t be able to rewind anything during the conference, but don’t forget, our live broadcast is being recorded and will be available in our on-demand video library for a full year after the event.

Where is the library of on-demand talks?

They will be available on the Button 2020 event site after you log in.

Is the live broadcast being recorded?

Yes! Watch for those recordings about two weeks after the conference.

How do I sign up for a small-group session?

Instructions will be posted after you log in to the Button 2020 event site.

After the conference

How long will I have access to the library of on-demand talks?

You will be able to log in to the main event site to watch talks, broadcast recordings, and download slides until October 23, 2021.

Will I be able to watch full recordings of the conference live broadcast?

Yes. We’ll have those recordings up in the on-demand library approximately two weeks after the conference.

What happens to Button 2020 Slack after the conference?

We’ll keep Button 2020 Slack open for a few months.

Will I get the slide decks?

Yes. After the conference, the slides will be available for download within the on-demand video library.
