As we look forward to our first in-person Button ever, we’re prioritizing the health and safety of everyone who attends. Keep an eye on this page to stay up to date on our COVID guidelines and policies for Button 2022.
We can’t wait to see you in person in October—and we want you to feel completely confident about your decision to join us.
We’re carefully tracking all the latest health and safety guidance for large group gatherings from the CDC and the Washington State Department of Health. We’re also partnering with our official venue, The Westin Seattle, to ensure that Button 2022 is held in a safe and clean environment.
As of July 20, 2022, all Button 2022 attendees, speakers, sponsors, and staff will be subject to the following mandates:
1. When signing in for the conference, all attendees must present:
OR
2. All attendees must wear masks throughout the main conference venue outside of session rooms (Westin Seattle).
Masks will be required at all times in the main conference venue unless eating, drinking, or presenting on stage. We will have masks available on-site at the registration desk. Your mask must fully cover your nose and mouth. N-95 and KN-95 masks are strongly recommended.
NOTE: Masks will be optional at off-site conference social gatherings, including the main conference party, in accordance with current Washington Department of Health guidelines for restaurants and public spaces.
If you are unable or unwilling to comply with these mandates, you will not be allowed to attend or remain at the conference. If you leave the event due to failure or refusal to comply with these mandates, refunds will not be provided.
Wear a green, yellow, or red button (available at the registration desk). Red means “Please keep your distance,” yellow means “I’m OK with brief fist bumps or elbow bumps,” and green means “I am ready for handshakes and hugs.”
Eat wherever you’re most comfortable. We will provide ample seating for meals, which will be served buffet-style. If you prefer, you are welcome to carry your meal to a more remote location (even outside!) then return your dishes to one of the main conference areas.
If we’re not able to safely host Button in Seattle during our scheduled dates, we will fully convert to the virtual event.
At that time, everyone already registered for the in-person event would have the option of (a) converting their in-person ticket to a virtual ticket and receiving a full refund for the price difference OR (b) canceling their in-person ticket registration and receiving a full refund. See our terms and conditions for details.
We’re more than happy to talk. Just get in touch.
