Your brain on content: Applying behavioral science (ethically) for more impactful design

When designing basically any experience, the goal is simple: to influence people’s behavior and drive them to take some sort of action.

Of course, how we get to that behavior change is not always quite as simple. But there are some tried-and-true techniques from the world of behavioral science that can help.

In this talk, we’ll discuss some key concepts from behavioral science and how they relate to crafting content that’s not only better for our users, but that can help us shine when it comes to business impact as well.

After this session, you’ll walk away with:

  • An understanding of some core behavioral science principles that can elevate the impact of your content
  • Examples of their real-world application, and how you can use them in your work
  • Ethical considerations to keep in mind so that users’ best interests are not compromised in the name of increasing the bottom line
