Making a Hollywood movie is remarkably similar to making digital products. Both are creative products, designed for a specific outcome, executed by technical specialists. And both are as likely to be “hits” as “flops.” In this workshop, you’ll learn how to use five elements of screenwriting—the hero, setup, hook, transformation, and ending—to make the customer be the hero of the story and let our role as a supporting character guide our product roadmaps. When we go beyond asking what the customer wants to understand why, we can use our creative skills to transform their lives. This framework will help your teams:

  • Recognize the customer as the hero
  • Deeply understand the hero journey and where your products can play a supporting role
  • Align on the why of what you’re building, and it helps the hero’s transformation
