UX for toddlers and other humans

As UX writers, our research considers factors like culture, socioeconomic level, and education; this helps us craft the right copy for the right people. But how do you write for a user who is essentially a blank slate? In these cases, there’s no better way to think about the effectiveness of your words than by talking to the most adorable, maddening user you’ve ever met. As it turns out, the foundational rules of good UX writing still apply.

In this session, you will:

  • Attain an understanding of fundamental UX writing principles.
  • Strip the craft of writing down to the most basic level of human communication.
  • Learn why empathy for the user should be at the root of everything you write.
